The first time we come across is 1862 when Susannah Featherstone was born and married Thomas Puleston (born 1861 Fordcomb) at Sevenoaks between Ap/Jun 1881 Vol 2a P899.
Sussanah's Father was John Featherstone b 1842 at Brenchley who married Hannah ??( b 1843) .Next comes William (b 1799 - Baptised 4/4/1799) who was Johns Father : he was Born in Strood and married Frances ??( B 1804) They lived at Castle Hill Farm Brenchley with their 3 sons John (b 1842), Edward (b1845) and Stephen (b1848).
Incidentally we have traced the Puleston family to the start 1n 1180 and it would be nice to see what you have on the Featherston Clan.
