I George ffetherstone of the parish of East Peckham in the County of Kent Taylor being of sound and perfect mind memory and understanding praised be almighty God therefore do this thirteenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty two make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as followorth (that is to say) ffirst and principally I ???? my soul into the hands of almighty God who gave it and my body I commit to the earth to be buried according to the direction of my executors hereinafter named and as for my worldly goods and estate it hath pleased God to bless me withal I give and dispose thereof (that is to say) imprimis I will and order that all my just bedts which I shall owe at the time of my demase and ffuneral expenses be first paid and satisfied by my executors herein after named ???? I give and devise all the Root Residue and Remainder of my goods chattels ready money and estate what soever and wheresover both real and personal unto my loving wife Mary during the term of her natural life and after her decease to be disposed as followeth 9that is to say) I do will and order that my said wife shall have the sum of one hundred pounds to dispose of as she shall think fit ???? I give and devise unto my nephew Richard Ffetherstone all that my ????age or tenement situate lying and being in the said parish of East Peckham and now in my own ???????tion and also all that other my ???sonage or tenement situate lying and being in the parish of Horsmonden and in the County of Kent and now in the occupation of one Widow Bennett during the term of his natural life and after his decease I give and devise all that aforesaid ??????sage or tenement lying and being in East Peckham unto John Ffetherstone son of the aforesaid Richard ffeatherstone charged and chargeable nevertheless with the payment of one annuity of yearly rent charge as shall be hereinafter expressed (that is to say) I give and devise unto Margaret Woodgate sister to my aforesaid wife Mary for and during the term of her natural life one annuity rent charge of forty shillings per annum to be paid to her or her assigned half yearly at the most usual ffeast day or days of payment commonly called michaelmas and Lady Day the first payment to be made the second of the said ffeast days that shall happen next after the decease of my said wife Mary also after after the decease of the aforesaid Richard ffeatherstone I give and devise the aforesaid ????sage or tenement lying and being in Horsmonden aforesaid unto William ffetherstone son of the aforesaid Richard ffeatherstone * charged and chargeable nevertheless with the payment of one annuity or yearly rent charge as shall be hereinafter mentioned payable to be performed (that is to say) I give devise unto the aforenamed Margaret Woodgate and other annuity rent charge of fourty shillings per annum for and during the term of her natural life to be paid to her or her assigns half yearly at the two most feast days or days of payment commonly called Michaelmas and Lady Day the first payment to be the second of the said feasts that shall happen next after the decease of my said wife Mary and further my mind and will is that if any of the aforesaid annuitys or any part thereof shall be behind and unpaid the spare of ten days after any of the said feast days it shall and may be lawful to and for the said Margaret Woodgate to enter upon the said lands and premises and ???ham and bring actions for recovering the same and all costs and charges thereby sustained ???? my will and meaning is that both the aforesaid annuitys shall be tax ffree ??? I give and devise unto John ffetherstone William ffetherstone Ann Harris and Ruth Gaskin sons and daughters of my brother John ffetherstone the sum of five pounds a piece on oath of them the sum of five pounds to be paid within a year next after the decease of my said wife Mary by my aforesaid nephew Richard ffetherstone from all the rest residue and in remainder of my goods chattels and estates hatsoever and whosoever I give and devise unto the aforesaid Richard ffetherstone and I nominate constitute and appoint my wife Mary and my aforesaid nephew Richard ffetherstone to be executors of this my last will and testament and I do revoke all former wills by me at any time made and do ????? this present writing to be my last will and testament ?????? whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and year above written George Fetherston signed sealed published and declared by the aforenamed George ffetherstone to be his testament and last will in the presence of us who have sat our hands as witnesses in the presence of the testator Richard Bonham, Elizabeth Biggondon George Solman.

This will was proved at London the twenty fourth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy before the right worshipful George Day ?orton of Law Master Keeper or Commisary of the prerogative court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Mary ffetherston widow the ???? of the deceased and ???ing executor named in the said will to who administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased having been first sworn by commission duly administer.
