This will was proved at Rochester on the fourteenth day of May one thousand seven hundred and fifty two before the reverend John Upton Clark and surrogate by the oath of John Featherstone son and executor in the said will named to whom was granted administration being first sworn duly to administer. He lived in 1748 at Brenchley, Kent, EnglandG.2 He was a yeoman in 1748.2 He left a will on 16 November 1748; wrote will.2

From Penny Eades 10th October 2003 - an elderly relative of my mother's copied (longhand) the diary of Stephen Rowse, it starts about 1743. He was a church warden in Minster Abbey and a friend of the Featherstone family. He frequently mentions them. e.g. September 28 1794 Sunday at tea at Mr Featherstone's; December 22nd 1794 at Mr Featherstone's to pay him Mr Wakely's money then to shooting.
