     George Featherston His Birth was registered in the Ecclesfield district in the quarter of September 1845 Vol/Page at 22.167.1 He was the son of Bernard Featherstone and Mary Lavender?2 George Featherston was born circa 1846 at Barnsley, West Riding of Yorkshire, EnglandG.3 George Featherston and Ann McKew marriage was registered in Bradford district Vol/Page 9b.266 in the quarter of March 1872.4,5 George Featherston died on 18 October 1914 at Laramie, Albany County, Wyoming, United States Of AmericaG, The passing away of George Patrick Featherstone as the result of complications of stomach trouble, is a sad blow to his many friends in Laramie. He was one of the best loved citizens of this city and was a credit to the town.
His death occurred at 8:15 yesterday morning, following an illness of three months, during which time he had taken a trip to Kentucky and later to Forest Grove, Oregon, for his health. He came home from Oregon a month ago in a serious condition and fears began to be entertained that he would not live. He showed no improvement during his three weeks stay in a Denver hospital.
The deceased was born in Stavely, England, June 14, 1845. He left England in 1881, 33 years ago, and came direct to Laramie, where he was employed in m the Union Pacific shops. Later he took care of the depot and was one of the kindest and most obliging employees of the Union Pacific.
A devout Roman Catholic, Mr. Featherstone was the type of man who never missed mass on Sunday and gave forth good will and cheer whereever he went.
He is survived by three children, all of whom were born in Bradford, England, where the late Mr. Featherstone was married. The children are Mrs. Marian Sherlock, Mrs. W.H. Hunt and Bernard Featherstone. He leaves two grandchildren. Norma Sherlock and William Hunt, Jr., who live at Cheyenne and who are coming here for the funeral.
The funeral will be. held from the Roman Catholic church Wednesday morning 9 o'clock. Friends are requested to please omit flowers. The remains can be viewed after 6 o'clock this evening..
