    Be it known that James Simpson Featherstone of “Tyneholm” 12 Ruskin Road Carshalton in the county of Surrey who died there on the 14th day of August 1934 made and duly executed his last will and testament and did therein name his wife Florence Emily Featherstone sole executrix and residuary legatee and devisee who died in his lifetime That the said testator died a widower And be it further known that at the date hereunder written Letters of Administration with the will [a copy whereof is hereunto annexed ]of all the estate which by law devolves to and vests in the personal representative of the said deceased were granted by His Majesty’s High Court of Justice at the District Probate Registry thereof at Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Henry Whitehead Featherstone of “Tyneholme” aforesaid Retired Civil Servant and Thomas Baty Featherstone of 31 The Gallop Sutton in the said County Engineer the lawful sons and two of the persons entitled to share in the estate of the said testator and it is hereby certified that an affidavit for Inland Revenue has been delivered wherein it is shewn that the gross value of the said estate in Great Britain[exclusive of what the said deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as a trustee and not beneficially] amounts to £1,344-2-3 and that the net value of the personal estate amounts to £ 903-0-1 And it is further certified that it appears by a receipt signed by an Inland Revenue Officer on the said Affidavit that £39-4-10 on account of Estate Duty and interest on such duty has been paid

[S14] Unknown author, Will, This is the last will and testament of me James Simpson Featherstone of Tyneholme Ruskin Road Carshalton in the County of Surrey Gentleman made this seventh day of February one thousand nine hundred and thirty two I hereby appoint my dear faithful wife Florence Emily Featherstone sole executrix of this my will I direct my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease and subject thereto I give devise appoint and bequeath all real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever of which as owner or otherwise I shall at the time of my decease be entitled to appoint or dispose by this my will unto my wife the said Florence Emily Featherstone for her own use and benefit absolutely and without wishing to impose any obligation or trust I desire to place on record my full and complete confidence that she will after my death show due regard to the needs maintenance and advancement in life of my family In witness whereof I have set my hand to this my will the day and year first hereinbefore written
