Arthur is the son of Annie (or presumably Anne) & Alfred BAGE. They married 5 Aug 1872 in St John's, Newcastle Upon Tyne (though I have no idea what they were doing there). They also had daughters Clara & Edith. Annie later married Nathaniel Langburn Wood on 5 Aug 1888 in Middlesbrough. They had children George, Henry Langburn & Elsie Langburn. Annie was said to be widowed at this marriage but I have found no trace of Alfred BAGE's death.

  1. [S592] Celia Dodd, "Joan Featherstone marriage," e-mail to W Paul Featherstone, I've just realised that you are researching Featherstone and it is likely
that one of my ancestors is the Joan Featherston who married Richard Willow
at Landulph, Cornwall on 11 Jun 1738. Can you tell me any more about her?
Perhaps not old enough to have signed with a mark in 1723!

My 3xgt-grandmother was Mary Ann Roberts who married a sailor (who'd served
at Trafalgar) at Stoke Damerel, Devon in 1813. I think it's very likely she
was baptised across the Tamar at Landulph in 1796. She went to live on
Guernsey so her birthplace in the census returns is given as England which
is not much help. But her daughter married a mariner from Landulph.

I haven't spent much time and energy investigating Featherstones in case
Mary Ann Roberts did not come from Landulph!

    Best wishes
